Set up your DNS

  1. Log into your Godaddy.com account and go to your My Domain Names page.
  2. Select the domain you would like to use
  3. Click the Total DNS Control And MX Records link. This will open a new window to a page that give you full access to your DNS settings.
  4. Look for the www alias. It's probably currently pointed to @, but not for long. This is the CNAME you will be editing, so click the Edit icon link.
  5. Enter yourdomain.reflectsite.com into the hostname. The below example shows cf.reflectsite.com.

  6. Once you've edit your new CNAME, click continue and then review and confirm your new settings. Verify that your settings have been saved and exit the DNS panel.

Forward your domain

At this point you have set up http://www.yourdomain.com to point to your Reflect site. But what if someone types in http://yourdomain.com without the www? You'll need to forward http://yourdomain.com to http://www.yourdomain.com using GoDaddy.com's forwarding feature.

  1. Click on the domain that you have set up this far, then open the Domain is not forwarded. link.
  2. Enable domain forwarding and enter in http://www.yourdomain.com The below example shows http://www.clearfunction.com.

This way anyone who types in http://yourdomain.com, as people often do, will see http://www.yourdomain.com when the page loads.

Configure Reflect

Now, you just need to enter your domain name for your Reflect site.

  1. Go to the Sites page in your account.
  2. Click on the Hosting Setup link for the site you want to add the domain name to.
  3. Click on Change URL under the Site domain.
  4. Add your domain name, and that's it! Reflect will take care of the rest.

Wait...

It can often take up to 48 hours for your DNS changes to propagate across the internet.
