Using Your Own Domain

Each Reflect website comes with a domain like yourdomain.reflectsite.com. However, Reflect also allows you to point your own domain to your Reflect address. This would allow you to use your own domain (yourdomain.com) instead of the yourdomain.reflectsite.com address.

In order to do this, you must have access to the DNS records of your domain name. This can be done with most registrars. Regardless of which registrar you use, you'll need to create a CNAME record for www that points your domain name to yourdomain.reflectsite.com. Once you've done this you can follow the steps below to set up your domain name in Reflect:

  1. Go to the Sites page in your account.
  2. Click on the Hosting Setup link for the site you want to add the domain name to.
  3. Click on Change URL under the Site domain.
  4. Add your domain name, and that's it! Reflect will take care of the rest.

Setting up your 'admin' subdomain

Each Reflect website also comes with it's own 'admin' subdomain that looks something like admin.yourdomain.reflectsite.com. If you use your own domain name, you may want to set up another CNAME record for admin that points to admin.yourdomain.reflectsite.com. This will allow admin.yourdomain.com to work.
