What are modules?
Modules are specific types of content such as blogs, photo galleries, video galleries or even custom modules based upon your specific field types.
How do I create a module?
From the “Design/Setup” tab, click on “Add module”. The following screen allows you to create a module.
What is the template name and ID?
This is used for the template location within your theme and identifying this module when using the API.
Where can I change the permalink structure of a module?
Under the settings tab of a module you can change the permalink structure of an entry. This would let your entries look like: /blog/2008/09/17/my-catchy-title (or however you organized your structure with month, day, year, postname).
How can I put module content on the homepage or other pages?
This can be done using API Tags on the template you are using for the homepage or a specific page. While Reflect doesn't allow a module to be located at the root directory (http://yourdomain.com/), tags allow you to use the root directory any way you like keeping the module url for archives.
What are tags? How can I use them?
A tag is a keyword or term associated with or assigned to an entry. Tags allow you to organize entries within a module any way you like. Tags are usually more informal than categories.
What are categories? How can I use them?
Think of categories as folders for your entries within a module. It’s simply a way to organize your entries to make them easier to find for both yourself and your website visitors. Category titles are entirely up to each website.
How do I set up custom fields within a module?
Each module has the ability to have custom fields. Access the custom fields for each module by clicking on “Custom fields” in the right sidebar of each module. The following screen will allow you to add custom fields to the basic form of that module. For example, the standard fields for a blog module is “Title” and “Body”. A common custom field could be “Excerpt”.
What custom fields are available?
The following field types are available: Single Line Text, Paragraph, Check Boxes, Drop Downs, Number, Date, Time, Date & Time and Radio Buttons.
How can I delete a module?
Delete a module on the “Settings” page for a particular module. The Settings page link is located in the right sidebar of each module. At the bottom of the Settings page you will find a “Delete this module” link. It’s important to note that upon deleting a module, all information (in the module) will immediately and permanently be deleted.
