Custom Module

What is a custom module? How can I use it?

The custom module allows you to create entries based upon choosing and labeling the field types to your needs. Use this module for those situations where one of the other specialized modules doesn’t quite fit. Additionally, custom modules also include built in support for community input through a submit form on your front-end website. Submitting this form will insert an entry into that particular module.

What is the “entry label”?

The entry label is used specifically for the "Add [entry label]" link located on the main page of a custom module. Examples include: "job", "post", "staff member", etc...

What is the “Approval and Notification” options used for?

These options are used in conjunction with the public submission form associated with each custom module. The public submission form allows website visitors to enter information that is added to the custom module list of entries. One example would include a job listing module that allows website visitors to enter jobs. With the approval and notifcation options you can decide whether that job is automatically approved or must be approved by an administrator.
